I remember that my old Anglican hymn book included the marginal reading of "mighty Lord of all the world" as an alternate to "mighty Gitchi Manitou" for those who were uncomfortable with the original. (I thought the original was just fine, and a worthy attempt to transpose the Gospel story into another culture.)Fr.
